Alone in darkness there is nothing. There is nowhere and there is no time. The ability to travel to meet to explore is taken and removed from existence. It is more than just lonely, there is not even the memory of others, it is unbearable. Without time, it is impossible to measure how long only the void stood there, truly not even existing itself. Yet, after so many dreadful moments the void seems to stare back. It feels as though it is mocking; laughing at the loneliness. It begins to become something, not through magic or science, but through sheer unfiltered will the literal nothing begins to personify another being. Albeit, a spiteful unpleasant being, the void, the abyss has become something. It has become even more than a being; it is an idea. The loneliness becomes its own downfall; something to keep company. An idea is sparked.
With a word, the darkness is gone. It was the driving force of the unbearable timeless suffering. And yet in its absence, the darkness is almost missed. Another word, and the two; the light and dark exist together but separate. They are the extremes and nothing can out shine or out diminish them. However, there seems to be no need that all things should be in their most absolute. A mixing; a combining of the two into portions. Some light, some dark. Complete light filtered through the dark. There were differences and they gave off different feelings; warmth and cold. The light though, should never be absent for too long. Always will it return and always will it be unobstructed by the dark. The light shall have dominion and it shall be called the day.
With the coming of the next light there needed to be a foundation; a source for all the things to follow. The light was good beyond all else, but it was not to be alone amongst nothingness. Next there was to be something both hard and unwavering and yet soothing and welcoming; a true paradox to begin all things. It seems only appropriate. A nice bright blue, it was silky and smooth, running anywhere and everywhere should it not be halted. Water. It would grow warm with the coming light and fall cold in the darkness. It would run throughout all the things to follow; giving life and rest. It would swarm the space to be inhabited as a source for all things, but not one to be taken lightly. Water can be smooth when handled with care or brash and unforgiving when taken by force. It needed a place however. The light was unparalleled in its space, the water instead required land. There was a hard unmovable place for the water to be housed and about it was the heavens; a place of only light.
The water and its land were mixed and oddly so. There needed to be separation and order. The water lowered and the earth raised to give way to seas and land. They were different but not altogether separate. The land would house water and the water would sit atop land. They were two halves of the same whole; balance that came with order. The land however, was made of hardened rock. It was strong and able to resist all else. Yet, it was also cold and unforgiving. Still without life, it felt alone. The rock was saddening. It needed color, just as the seas had. A lush green to coat and cover the land. Not to hide the rocks, but to accompany them. The green grew wide and far and took upon itself many new colors and styles. It required the water and brought warmth and life to the land. It was the peacekeeper of all things. From it grew many new herbs, flowers, trees, bushes, shrubs, fruits, vegetables, crops, and countless wonders. None were so beautiful.
The new place and all its glory was amazing and truly unwavering. It needed a special touch; something to add excitement and bring about change in a wonderful way. With that, the land was tilted ever so slightly as to not harm any of the new life but to bring about seasons. There would be the cold winters, the blooming springs, the welcoming summers, and the harvesting falls. The lush flora would adapt and change and bloom again every time. The light too would need a home to bring about these changes. It would be stored in the greatest form of power and energy, unrivaled and unmatched for all of time to come. The new light, the new power; the sun, would sit upon the heavens and light the earth from afar. So too would a minor, less powerful force sit upon the much nearer sky and light the darkness. It would pull to the seas and give light to the lands. The cycle of days and the cycle of seasons were upon the earth.
The earth and its skies were beautiful and fulfilling. However, they were empty. More was needed to fill them with sounds and mass. Something to help the lands thrive and make merry, and to fill the oceans to their depths with absolute creativity. Next would come the fish and all their kind. Some as small as to be nearly unseen while others would remain the largest to exist; unmatched for all of time. They came in wildly different shapes and with completely unique abilities. So many and so broadly spread throughout the seas. Some would live off the heat of the earth and the sun, others off the flora that persisted in the waters, and even some off each other. It would be a delicate balance and yet still a strong, not-easily upset one. The birds filled the air afterwards. Being able to defy the call of the land and soar where their wills took them. The ocean and the land offered them sustenance. The fish and the birds grew and multiplied as they willed.
Finally remained the land and its flora, much less impacted by the creatures of the sea and the sky. A new breed, and many of them to fill the lands. Some which ran with four legs, some who leapt with two, and others that crawled with six or eight or even a hundred. There was no limit to the abilities and to the gorgeous design of these beasts. There were even those who crossed worlds; who would live in both water and on land, who would fly and roam about the earth. All together the place that had been built was filled and was joyous to no end. Beast, fish, bird, and flora lived and thrived as was the intention.
