A proposal to wire an Norfolk building for a network

To Members of the Board,

   Here is the proposal for wiring set up for Maury High School.  The following will be the total for wiring from basement to the third floor.  This will include all outlets, faceplates, patch panels, patch cables, port switches, core switch, sfp modules.  The following chart will have the total number of each needed and the cost and where the pricing is coming from.  The numbers giving are for the hardware to complete the project.  Labor to do the work will add cost to the project.

Bulk cable 26,000 feet will be needed at 293.99 per/1000ft, total 7643.74(Monoprice.com)

Outlets 126(two per room) 1.99 per outlet, total 250.74(Monoprice.com)

Patch panels 4(48 port) 48.99 per panel, total 195.96(Monoprice.com)

Total for the project is $24,991.14.

This total will set the school up with cabling and setting the school up to be ready for the ethernet.

  The following is the cost for a firewall that will be able to protect up to 300 total users.  Using the Perimeter81 firewall service.  Service is 20 per user plus 40 per gateway per month.  The monthly cost will give us many add on services, reports, and 24/7 customer service.
