Personally, the first level of basic needs and technology would be to make sure my phone can function properly for me throughout the day. I would do this by charging my phone the night before and setting the alarm on my phone. To me my phone is a part of myself, if it’s about to die I need a charger ASAP, if i crack my screen I too feel broken. Not really but it does suck, once my phone’s needs are taken care of my security comes to mind. My apple wallet contains two of my debit cards and my apple id has years worth of private information on it. If someone were to hack/leak my data I don’t think it’d be easy for me to just move on. Next would be the belonging and friendships, humans are social creatures and therefore mostly love the idea of social media. It gives many an outlet to vent and receive input from other users on a day to day basis. The social media aspect can also appeal to the self esteem portion of the hierarchy seeing as millions of people post whether it be a selfie or family photo. Even though it may not be the main focus to receive attention, who doesn’t like compliments and loving messages? Lastly would be the self-fulfillment from technology, I personally love to play xbox in my free time. I would say it’s somewhat fulfilling to talk to my childhood friends despite them being across the country. Not only can this fulfill one’s creative ideas but things like podcasts, debates, and articles can help others gain information to better themselves and reach or realize their full potential.
