I think his journey is an interesting story on how you don’t have one path to reach a cybersecurity job, I feel as if in his presentation he was making it known that even he didn’t plan to be where he was as his father pushed him into it. Despite this his love for computers came into play after getting a job as an accountant and worked his way towards their it department. This relates to me as I work in a hospital as non-medical professional and can transfer through to the healthcare it department, as this has recently been a dream for me. This video inspires me to strive and work hard towards my desired profession. Taking courses related to cybersecurity for the past 2 years has really shown me how broad and also in depth this career field can be. With the right skills you can be anything from a plane tower engineer to a game developer. The possibilities are endless if you develop the appropriate skills and can properly leverage your technical knowledge. One key takeaway from this video may be even though the road may be long, and the path is hard, maintaining perseverance and passion for the specified subject can push you forward in directions that at first might have never seemed possible.
