Of the offenses listed, these are my order in range from least serious to most serious. The least serious to me is 1 and 3. This is because although pirating files and using copyrighted material may be illegal, in the grand scheme of things no one is physically harmed by this crime taking place besides the company’s revenue. 10 would be the second one because this is close to the same thing as taking copyrighted material but, in this case, it can affect the youtuber who published the video much more than a film company. The third least serious offense would be illegal searches online. These searches could range from red rooms to illicit drugs. The problem with the illegal searches is usually what the person is searching to find can easily harm themselves or another person. Searching and creating a demand for these activities only influences criminals to make a supply for money. The fourth crime would be faking your identity online. I chose this for the second most serious crime because one can fake their identity simply by having a non-identifying username. On the other side of the spectrum in a more serious manner, people can fake their identity online with your SSN, BIN, or CVBN. The crime I thought was most serious was bullying /trolling. Here we can again say that trolling isn’t that bad but when it comes to bullying folks online there has been many instances where people commit suicide due to cyberbullying or those closely associated. It was hard for me to choose a crime because severity differs case to case but I think bullying is the worst due to the psychological and physical effects it can leave on a person being bullied online.
