Reflection 5

Reflection 5 This week at Amazon we were in the office and haven’t had class for the past two weeks. project we were involved in dealt with Amazon’s EC2 instance. As a virtual server in Amazon’s Elastic Compute Cloud, it is directly essential to AWS’s infrastructure as it allows it to run applications for AWS. The project I worked on was a micro instance that essentially dealt with software testing. It was a bit challenging, but we completed our project by working with fellow interns. We also shadowed more engineers, they taught us about the process of their ticketing system, which allows them to resolve cases. These engineers work with Linux and Windows systems administration, so they would teach us how to effectively use these products for AWS customers. We conducted daily meetings with various members of AWS to understand what was happening in AWS, what was needed moving forward, and how we, as a section of the organization, would achieve these goals. I feel like so far in this internship I have learned a lot of new information about what I had learned in school and had got a better deeper understanding on things like trouble shooting, linux, ip addresses and more. Also this week we went laser tagging as a group one day after work. It was fun and exciting to go out and see how people act and get to learn from my peers better than just being in an office or on a call all day with the other interns.
