Workplace deviance is when someone purposely attempts to destroy/sabotage a company by creating problems within the workplace. Cyber technology has made doing so much easier and more effective for causing damage. Before an employee could just talk badly about a company or cause disruption in the workplace. With cyber technology, damages of workplace deviance can make consequences for the company worse. For example, an employee stealing vital information from customers that are affiliated with the company or shutting down security systems allows the company to be vulnerable and open to attacks. This has also allowed an employee to be able to go undetected for a longer period of time without getting caught since they are using technology and have ways to avoid getting caught.
