The below statement is an excerpt from my case analysis of Corporate Social Responsibility that answers the following question:

Who did the Equifax breach harm? How? Why was this harm morally bad?

“For CSR, in using care ethics, I assert that corporate entities like Equifax have a corporate social responsibility which can be argued to have heavy ties with care ethics… Everyone in a corporation to include the most senior, and the least senior person have a responsibility in their role to better the business more so for all that are impacted by the business. When everyone works in such a way it “fosters a breeding ground for flourishing relationships for everyone and this is the heart of Care Ethics”(Burnett, 2019)”.

My assertions in this Case Analysis help to build the ground work for an awareness for the role of Social Responsibility in my work in cyberspace as a professional for Rackspace and Cybersecurity Scholar for Old Dominion University. The work in this case analysis would inspire me to examine other problems and issues throughout the rest of the semester in other coursework like that of Cyberwar(CYSE495) and Interdisciplinary Studies(IDS300W) via the lens of Care Ethics and Social Responsibility.
