From what I believe Cybersecurity is important to my major because it helps broaden the aspects of what I decide to do with my major. If I decide to be an attorney or a politician I have more knowledge on technology, policy and people, and how it works. I also learned that it will teach you how to evaluate and develop policies that are designated to strengthen homeland defense and improve emergency management and also besides the fact that I need the course as well. To my knowledge I do believe that they somehow both have a correlation with law enforcement, cybersecurity is one recourse that is used to help build cases and/or gathered information. Cybersecurity works hand in hand with any law enforcement department. Also what we learned in 2020 through a pollical standpoint with the votes is how technology such as cybersecurity can count these votes and calculate all of these things throughout the election with technology. Technology is also used throughout the White house well to keep up with the many of things that are going on throughout it that’s if I decide to take the route of an attorney. I can’t really go into detail as to why it may make a bigger impact than what I already figured but I am willing to take all information from both sides and correlate them with each other.
