- McAfee – Anti-virus software
- Hackthebox – An online training platform used for penetration testing training.
- Sera-Brynn – Cybersecurity consulting firm that provides services like incident response
- CrowdStrike – Provides cybersecurity services like threat intelligence and incident response
- VirusTotal – A free online tool that analyses suspicious files, domains, IPs and URLs to detect malware and other breaches, automatically share them with the security community.
What is your overall perspective on the entrepreneurship experience?
Personally, I am not interested in being an entrepreneurship or having the experience. However, this class is better suited for those who strive to start a business as this course provides them with the knowledge to get started in the right direction. Such as doing research on the idea to prove or disprove your assertions.
How did the entrepreneurship prepare or not prepare you to be a competitive candidate for vacant positions?
This entrepreneurship helps me by keeping up my writing skills honed, helped me feel more positive about my experience with working in groups (because in other classes working in groups was a nightmare) and also assisted in how I can market myself using something similar to the elevator pitch.
What suggestions do you have to improve the experience?
This course is writing intensive, and I think that some of the assignments can be group assignments instead of individual. Specifically, the pitch and elevator pitch assignments as I think that the parties within the group can make a better product than doing it individually as each individual brings a different angle. Such as, some might be better at drawing or writing, or producing and the mix can turnout a improved end result.
What’s next for you?
I am graduating after this semester so that means that I can relax for a couple of weeks; but after that, it is on to putting myself back into the job market in hopes that I can make a positive contribution to society with the work age I have remaining.
