My primary research project was done on the influence of traffic cameras on driver behavior: a study of red light violations. In order to complete this assignment properly, we had to go around campus and collect data that we could include in our paper. Different ways of collecting data included (surveys, interviews, observations, etc.). My main type of research was observative in which I recorded the number of cars that would run a red light when there was a traffic camera v when there wasn’t a traffic camera present. This project was a lot of fun as I got to observe drivers’ behaviors in different weather conditions and determine what factors made people run red lights. Not only that, organizing this paper really helped me with creating my APA research project as I had to learn how to write in the IMRAD format which is going to be useful in my other writing classes.
