After watching the video about the hacker rating, I can see that the media has a huge influence on people’s understanding about cyber security and hacking. Most of the popular named movies that everyone is familiar with were the ones that lower ratings because they showed hacking and cyber security in a disinformation way. Sure, most of the movies used real words and showed real life clips but at the same time they also showed made up terms and gadgets. That by itself gives people that watch these movies the idea that this is what hacking is when realistically they are given the wrong image and are then left with a false judgement. Nowadays people believe everything that they see in the media and can\u2019t tell what\u2019s true and what\u2019s fake, causing people to not know the difference between true hacking and false hacking. If I was a child watching these movies then I would instantly believe that was the true way to hack unless I did my research and looked it up. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
