Cyber Crime and Justice

Let us start of what is cybercrime.  Cybercrime, or computer oriented crime, is a crime that involves a computer or a network.  The computer can be used as a target or in commission of a crime.  The overlap between criminals justice and cybercrime over the years has been tremendous.  With the more advanced technology becomes the more the line between becomes blurred.  With advancements, there are boundless ways to commit crime now.  You can easily hack into someone’s ip address and DDoS, Distributed Denial of Service attack.  This type of attack uses a plethora of computers controlled by a hacker to flood your device with traffic so it kicks it off the internet.  This can be very common with videogames.  Ironically enough I experienced this type of attack during a game I was playing where me and three other friends all got kicked off our internet. A type of attack that was much harder to do back then was commit fraud. Fraud now is one of the most common cyber crimes now due to how easy it is to get information from computers and twist it. Same with identity theft. It is so much more simple to get ones information off of the internet now and then use their identity to mess their life up. One of the disciplines Digital forensics which dives into the different types of cyber crimes. However, even thought they can make different disciplines cybercrime is always evolving.  There will always be new ways to manipulate the internet to peoples advantages.  And it is almost impossible to prepare for every kind of attack there can be.  They can reform and evaluate different ways they can handle certain things or guess that they can have a contingency for that type of attack.  All in all the lines between cyber crime and criminals justice becomes more and more blurred with the more technological advances we have which will never stop evolving.
