How does cyber technology impact interactions between offenders and victims? Cyber technology actually increases the interactions between offenders and victims. The possibilities when it comes to the internet is extremely vast. Meaning you can be getting terrorized by a person you do not even know from possibly another whole country. Before people would actually have to leave the safety of their house to victimize and terrorize another individual. Now, without having to even step outside, you can stalk, terrorize, or financially harm someone you do not even know just because they can. And the ways they can do it are extremely popular. With social media being a thing an offender can find your profile and stalk you off of that. With social media being so popular, people often post about everything on their social media and sometimes way too much. Someone can use all of this information to find you without even having to do too much. Then you will not even know who is stalking you. If you have an abundance of followers it can be anyone of those people and you would have to comb through everyone of those people to find out who is harassing you. To top that off, they can harass you in so many different ways. They can hack your account and expose you, they can text you over and over until you respond. Cyber technology has just made it way too easy to harass someone over the internet. They can keep making more and more accounts to harass someone and a good majority of the time they will end up finding your address then they will actually start stalking you. That does not normally happen because a lot of them are scared to come out behind their computer screen and confront someone in person.
