5: Module 14 Artifact Takeaway<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

This was my least favorite of all the artifacts over the course, which is why I’ve included it here. We were asked a series of questions, and graded our happiness. My score was 4.25, so just over the median. I found that I don’t believe that happiness is quantifiable. I think that it is constantly moving and that individuals in society tend to measure their personal happiness against that of others, which is, in my opinion, unwise.<\/p>\n

For the module 6 artifact, we were tasked with naming five qualities we believe define us, and following our behavior over the course of a few days to see if it was consistent with those attributes. I found that I had many opportunities during which I exhibited the traits I named, but that there were times when I behaved inconsistently as well.<\/p>\n

3: Module 12 Artifact Takeaway<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Module 12 forced me to think about aggression and examine my views on what constitutes an aggressive act. Having to do this assignment provided me some insight on what I myself view as aggression and some prejudices I might have. I learned that I see many types of intentional violence as aggressive, which I may not have immediately thought where displays of aggression if I had not been asked to contemplate my feelings about them.<\/p>\n

2: Module 11 Artifact Takeaway<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

For Module 11, we thought of 10 people we knew, and made a descriptive chart of whether we thought the were selfish or unselfish, happy or unhappy. In this assignment, I chose people close to me. It felt a little strange rating some of them, but for others it was easy. I found that selfishness is correlated with unhappiness.<\/p>\n

1: Module 3 Artifact Takeaway<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Module 3 was my favorite of all the the “items to archive”. We asked participants to answer a short survey and give an explanation for the “findings” given to them. I enjoyed surveying my friends and seeing the way their biases worked. It was interesting to note that people were immediately willing to accept the statement and come up with a reason they agreed with it.<\/p>\n
