This is where you can find all my work I have done in this course for Spanish 101. I hope you find it informational enjoy the content!
Understanding Culture
For one of our class discussion boards, we answered questions about Mexican culture and how much we knew and had understanding of their culture. It was a fun learning activity because I learned more for my own self knowledge other than the basic information I already knew. I enjoyed reading other peoples responses on the activity as well. The point of the activity was to have an understanding of Mexican culture and also comparing their culture to how we do things in America. I enjoyed seeing the differences in how we all lived and how it had its own uniqueness.
Spanish-discussionInterpersonal Communication
In Spanish 101, a big thing is being able to communicate with one another. It shows that you are taking in the information and being able to apply it with each other. We had several different oral interviews/exams this semester. We did 2 with a partner one with our professor and part of our final exam was talking with our professor. Work in the class became difficult but I am always up for a good challenge. One of the discussion boards that interest me the most, was our most recent one. We had to pick 5 artists and discuss why they were famous and where they were from. Since I do not know much on hispanic artists I had to do some digging and find information on them. I enjoyed this particular discussion because I gained more information on particular famous Spanish artists.
Final-Spanish-Discussion-BoardAlso another favorite discussion board of mine, was doing our family tree. It was fairly easy, but I enjoyed learning about my classmates family history and being able to share mine as well.
Untitled-documentPresentational Writing
We did two compositions this semester in our class. Writing my first one was kind of difficult. I was not use to having to put so many sentences together at once in another language that made sense. After getting feedback on my first one, I felt more than confident writing my second composition. I liked being able to learn how to write in another language in more than just one sentence.
Untitled-document-2Presentational Speaking
This is my oral final exam. At the start of my semester I was struggling a bit sense English is my first language and I am not fluent in Spanish. By the end I had learned a lot and was confident with my last oral with my professor. I was a little nervous but I did not let it get to me and spoke very confidently during my last oral.
I enjoyed my first college level Spanish. I took two classes in high school but it was a different ball game at college level. I will be taking the next course for Spanish next semester and I am more than excited to be able to expand more on my vocabulary and slowly but surely become fluent in the language.
