At the beginning of the semester, I believe that I was studying for classes more than I am studying now. I think this is just because I have gotten used to what I am doing and making sure I never wait too long to do an assignment. I think that I studied so much in the beginning because I was not sure what I had to do to make sure I am on top of my stuff to pass the class. I think my study habits have definitely changed for the better, especially since high school. I definitely think I am more on top of my homework and my classes. I make sure that I am taking notes for classes especially for classes that don’t have any work I have to do for them like math or chemistry. In classes like math classes and chemistry, I take notes as well, but I also work out different problems to make sure I understood what we went over in class.
14 weeks ago, I thought college was going to be a lot of work that I couldn’t handle but now that we are at the end of the semester, the college experience was not what I thought it would be honestly. It was not as stressful and overwhelming as I thought, I got time to destress and hang with friends without only worrying about schoolwork. I think I found the library the most helpful resource because I was there just about every day making sure that I get all of my work done before I did anything else. I did not find any resources unhelpful; I just didn’t use certain resources. If I had classes that I needed to use the Writing Center for, I think it would have been very helpful, but I will use it next semester because I have classes I will need to use it for. I think something I should have learned 14 weeks ago is definitely to make sure you always are checking your syllabus. Not every professor will remind you of due dates coming up, so you have to make sure that you are on top of your stuff. Something I will use next semester that I learned this semester is probably my studying and note-taking skills. I think that it will definitely help me because I have some tough classes next semester and my new strategy of note-taking I think will definitely help me next semester.
