I am Kahel Recondo Cruz, originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico. In May 2014, I moved to Suffolk, VA where I spent over a decade growing up, adapting to a new culture, and developing my academic and personal goals. Being bilingual in English and Spanish has shaped my perspective and allowed me to connect with people from diverse backgrounds, strengthening my communication skills and cultural awareness.
In January 2026, I relocated to Raleigh to continue pursuing my education. I am currently a student at Old Dominion University Global Campus, working toward a Bachelor of Science in Political Science. My academic interests center on government, public policy, and the legal system, and I plan to attend law school after completing my degree.
My long-term goal is to build a career in the legal field where I can advocate for others, contribute to my community, and help address issues related to justice, representation, and equal opportunity. Through my education and life experiences, I hope to develop the knowledge, critical thinking skills, and ethical foundation necessary to make a meaningful impact.
