After reading the article, I understood the views that Social Cybersecurity is an emerging National Security Requirement. I work in Cyber for the U.S. Air Force, so my experiences working for the military within the cyber realm relates a lot to the article. We are taught a lot on cybersecurity and now social cybersecurity for the future of American security. There are always talks about how if there was a next war, the focus would be on how it would be cyber focused.

In the conclusion paragraph there is a statement that I believe has a lot of importance. “Leaders must understand social cybersecurity in order to defend these internal weaknesses from external manipulation”. There has to be a better understanding within society and the military to know how to protect from cyber attacks. Social Cybersecurity includes learning how to protect from data and information be manipulated into the hands of hackers and enemies.
