Three ways to spot a fake website are misspelling, a lack of contact information, or site duplication.

If there are misspellings in the URL or within the website itself, it is a very big sign that the website is fake. Most likely, the URL name will be misspelled since it’s overlooked but everything within the page would be perfect. If a website has a lack of contact information for customer service or reviews/ratings that is another flag for a website being fake. Finally, if you google the company and multiple websites pop up, more than likely one will be fake. Checking through the site description or seeing the ‘recommended’ site will be a safe option.
