These principles of science can relate to cybersecurity. When it comes to objectivity, in the lens of science, there is not much room for opinions. In relation to cybersecurity, there is more room for opinion but those opinions should not affect an investigation. It is always best to remain neutral. The principle that relates the most to cybersecurity in my eyes is determinism. Determinism means that behavior is caused, determined, or influenced by preceding events. Human behavior is complex, but there is always a reason why someone makes a certain decision. Cyber criminals have motive and a goal when executing their crimes. There is always a ‘why’. As investigators begin to understand the ‘why’, the better they can prevent and understand why cyber crimes happen.

The principles of science are relativism, objectivity, determinism, parsimony, objectivity, skepticism, and ethical neutrality.
