Media, Crime & Society is one of my favorite classes I have taken at Old Dominion University. In conjunction with paper, this group presentation discusses media tactics used to facilitate moral panic within society, focusing on the Sandy Hook Shooting and OJ Simpson murder trial. In this course we explored medias tactics used too report crime, the criminal justice system, pop culture and politics. From this course I gained an understanding of the relationship between media, crime and society. The structure of course and professor were huge influences on my learning experience. The class is amazing and I can honestly say this course changed my life !
