In every interaction that I partook in I provided warmth. I was not judgmental or their to give them advice. I wanted to provide them with a person that would not look down on them or see them as anything other than a human being. I did not talk down to any of the girls and did not gauge my culture better than theirs.  I also did not ask them any personal questions about their lives and provided an open opportunity to say or act in any manner they wanted to. Near the end of my time with the girls I felt one girl touch my hair and try to hid the fact that she did so. I turned to her and gave her a big smile and told her she could touch my hair if she wanted to which made her happy.
