Helping skill number five that I used during my time with the girls at the Women’s Centre was asking open ended questions. This was more difficult than I imagined even though I did a good job of coming up with open ended questions. They found ways to answer my open ended questions with one word answers for static phrases. This could have been a cultural difference but I did not want to push any of them to share more than they wanted to.
