SCADA
There are different reasons for needing a SCADA system and they come with many different vulnerabilities. One important attribute SCADA systems have is it allows an organization to analyze and generate the best response for different conditions and situations, and send a great automatic response every time automatically. Since the system is automation it helps eliminate human error because of the precise machine control for the monitoring equipment. SCADA systems help business operations run smoothly through their technique of using remote monitoring. The system is also a good plus to an organization because when an error occurs the system will notify the operator, which the operator can look and analyze the cause of the issue by reviewing the data from the operation. After that then the system then helps the operator think of a solution to make sure no more errors occur in the future. While there are a bunch of positive examples of needing a SCADA system there is also a side of different vulnerabilities that play a part in having a SCADA system. One of the vulnerabilities that have been an issue is hackers being able to crack codes on the systems and resulting in important information being able to get in the wrong hands as well as being able to gain control over the processes. Since SCADA systems are made and use a ton of technology in the processes to help the system work and stay connected to the different organizations that it helps through different situations and real-life problems at workplaces it is a big help but can also bring risks. With that being said when technology is involved in anything it leaves room for a threat and vulnerabilities to occur.
