1. Describe four ethical issues that arise when storing electronic information about individuals.

One ethical dilemma that emerges is the question of privacy and secrecy. Overall, this allows a company to maintain information on an individual, although the information is sometimes shared. This is a privacy concern since a firm may obtain information about a person and the data is kept on a technical device that might be confiscated. Security breaches are another ethical concern that occurs. When personal health information is made available to others without the individual’s consent, patient privacy is jeopardized. Another ethical concern that emerges is the execution of the system. This is an ethical concern since the implementation in firms resulted in patient loss of confidence and patient safety issues because the implementation was not kept up with or the staff did not know how to utilize it appropriately. The last ethical problem is data inaccuracy, since if data is lost during a data transfer, it raises worries about whether or not the data about the patient is reliable.

2. Compare cybersecurity risks in the U.S. and another country.

There is a significant geographical variation in the quantity of cybercrime in the United States compared to the rest of the world. The United States has the highest rate of cybercrime, with China ranking second. The United States is much higher than the rest of the world. This means that the United States must figure out how to stop cybercrime, whether it is through increased security or a better method of enclosing information. This year, in particular, Japan has seen an increase in cybercrime, which might be attributed to the 2020 Olympics and Paralympics. There has been a rise in the number and sophistication of cyber-attacks in Japan. In general, Japan’s cyber security is subpar when compared to that of the United States. Both the US and Japan are seeing almost the same number of cyber-attacks, which is becoming a major issue.
