One manner in which criminal justice and cybersecurity intersect is that criminologists look to what are known as human factors to understand human behavior. Criminologists address human factors in criminal justice and cybersecurity. Another area of overlap is that persons who acquire an education through criminal justice degrees in college may have the ability, knowledge, and training to pursue some of the “softer” positions within cybersecurity. A significant component of cybersecurity is what is known as Digital Forensics, which encompasses the examination of cyber, computer, electronic, and other kinds of criminality. Because Digital Forensics was founded in part by criminal justice professionals, it also presents another area where criminal justice and cybersecurity overlap. As a result, criminal justices scholars play an important role in the growth of Digital Forensics.

Some systems allow you to tailor your interests. For your philosophy minor, for example, you may take classes in business, law, physics, history, or psychology. Graduates often have the capacity to make brief verbal assertions, write comprehensively, and create arguments. Computer science is a vast field that studies computers and computing. Cyber security, a subject of computer science, entails safeguarding networks, systems, and programs from digital breaches. Cyber security professionals rely on their extensive knowledge of computers and networks to perform this function. Computer scientists and cyber security specialists are often detail-oriented, tracking changes and keeping stakeholders up to date on the projects they work on. They also use their analytical abilities to examine problems from several perspectives in order to come up with distinctive and innovative solutions. The relationship between psychology and cybersecurity is not new. Twenty years ago, in 1999, experts found that while designing security systems, designers had to consider the psychology of the human mind. People do not fall for scams or make security blunders because they are dumb; rather, they are overwhelmed, confused, or just do not know any better.
