I would advise them to participate in this program since many small businesses are family owned, and it is sometimes simpler to acquire a job with a small firm. With this in mind, the owners would be able to train their personnel on good security behaviors, reducing the likelihood of a cyber-attacker readily attacking the system. Overall, small firms will not be able to afford cyber security protection for all aspects of their operations since they simply do not generate as much revenue as larger corporations. Even if nothing can be completely safeguarded, it would be beneficial to put certain safeguards in place to make it more difficult for an attacker to hack the firm.
