What exactly is the definition of Deviance?

Well, the definition of Deviance is when a behavior, state, mannerism, and/or action that is either accepted meaning it follows or fits the social norms and expectation or is disproved and frowned upon because it opposes the expectations of society or violates the social norms which are rules that are inspired by the laws.

How is workplace Deviance different from just Deviance specifically?

Workplace Deviance still applies the same social expectations, mannerism and etc. which are from the previous definition of deviance with the only difference being its location. Deviance is not really a totally separate from Workplace Deviance matter of fact it extends and adds more rules on how we should act in specific places. The workplace Deviance normally takes place in office buildings or institutions and has additional conditions of violating the social norms in a workplace is mostly relating anything that advocates harm on the organization such as gossiping, lying, falsely placing blame, or sabotaging relationships. What does it impact? it will impact the organizations well-being, threaten or harm productivity, and potentially ruin their reputation.

The use of cyber technology allows users to utilize the tools or functions on these deceives which increases the chances to tempt someone into taking that provided opportunity to commit Deviance in their workplace. There are so many different ways users can us cyber technology to their own benefit such as selling data/information, gaining authorization to restricted information that is withheld by big corporations, or scouting out and planning cyber-attacks/breaches targeting databases or information systems which is just naming a few scenarios that can create or become potential threats that threaten the security of the companies database.
