Our VHL homework we were assigned throughout the weeks of this semester was filled with a bunch of different activities we were to complete. Activities would range from finishing sentences to rewriting sentences in different forms, to listening activities. As I have mentioned before listening to and being able to identify phrases and sentences out loud has been what I have struggled with the most this semester.

In order to help myself more with understanding Spanish I looked on youtube for short films and videos in Spanish. These videos helped me have a better understanding of how to grasp hearing Spanish. My biggest struggle with listening to Spanish is how fast you can speak in the language. There are times I can perfectly hear words and understand them and there are times I cannot easily comprehend what is being said and it takes me a while to comprehend what is being said to me. I found a youtube channel that really helped me to learn common phrases and test out my Spanish ability. I still struggle with listening but I do believe with the help of the VHL activities and youtube channel I got so much further than I would’ve had we not had these exercises or for the youtube channel.
