NIST framework offers organizations protection from potentially dangerous cyber attacks. It has a 5 step process that lays the groundwork for cyber safety, identity, protect, detect, respond, and recover.  It also helps businesses keep running during the event of a cyber attack. It offers an organized, risk management focused process. Nist also offers a list of cybersecurity activities that can be customized to meet the needs of any organization or business, this keeps it from being redundant. It also has a way to prioritize and communicate cost-effective improvements, so money isn’t spent on options you don’t need. At my future work place, I would implement the framework by following the 5 steps, setting an organization’s goals, this is important because we have to know where we or going as an organization.  then we create a detailed profile and access our current position this is important because we have to know where we are at and what is our current risk. When creating a profile it’s important to decide which of the 4  tier categories you fall in. We then analyze gaps and implement an action plan.
