The disciplines that I have taken note of that are presented in these jobs are the CompTIA certifications. Each job requires you to have one or more of the certifications and education requirements. Some positions allowed you to have one without the other if you had experience with some of the job requirements. Red team member and Penetration tester were the two jobs of the fifty that piqued my interest, due to them having the same nature but different at the same time. To be a red team member you basically had to be a professional hacker and be able to get information without being detected. When I first started researching the role, I thought it was simple and easy to do, you get a trained hacker and have them try to hack your computer and website and fix whatever problems you may have. This is not the case at all, they adequately plan out how things will be executed step-by-step before doing it. Red team members’ roles come after software and websites are already launched and running. On the other hand, you have the penetration tester who attempts to find all errors and problems in software or websites before they are even launched. This role requires you to know how to execute cloud architecture, threat modeling, and cryptography amongst others to efficiently be able to do the job. To my surprise this job requires a lot more skills than initially assumed. There are ten skills required for this job and I initially thought it may only require three or four.
