Assignment Takeaway

ATA 4:

One thing I learned in assignment four is there are six different ways people show love,  and six different ways people like to be loved. While doing this assignment there was a questionnaire that had to fill out in order to find which love type best fits you. After taking the questionnaire, I found the love style that best fits me is the love style storage. The questions for this love type asked about friendships later turning into partnerships. I feel as though everything I learned in this assignment I would use when I become more serious about dating and being in relationships.

Although I did not complete and turn in assignment three, I did start and watch the video that accompanied the writing. I learned that the way African American people are treated in America will possibly never change. While watching the video I became extremely upset and frustrated hearing the Seinfeld actor, Michael Richards, call an African American man the n word repeatedly. At one point in the video I felt as though Richards tried to justify his actions by telling the audience member he shouldn’t have been interrupting him during his set. The thing that really got to me is at the begin of the video he told the man that if this was 50 year ago he would have him hung upside down with a fork up his butt. That enraged me a little because that is something you don’t say to anyone no matter their race nor ethnicity, and to me that show that the actor is racist and has little to no human decency.

ATA 2:

One thing about this assignment it really made me think. The hardest for me was trying to find pictures to describe myself, and to find characteristics of myself that I thought was important. I think this assignment was a perfect way to help me in the future when I am asked to describe myself. For this assignment I also had to figure out how to explain the pictures without giving to much details and only making the paragraph about the details of the pictures.

ATA 1:

One thing I is there are different processes for the ways we make decisions. For example, people not going on planes after hearing about a plane crash is called availability heuristic. There are three other heuristics that somewhat explain and categorize almost every decision we as humans make. I don’t really know how I can tie what I learned in this assignment to another class. I feel as though this topic was personally relevant to me because now I have a better understand on how I come to making some of my decisions.
