ATA 5:
After completing assignment number five, I learned a lot more about how the tiniest thing can make someone’s day. Before writing this paper I was not really disciplined to do a random act of kindness all the time. I would do them every so often. After writing this paper I gained more knowledge on how people react to kind gestures. Another thing that I learned from this assignment was the feeling of making someone’s day. It made me feel a sense of gratitude and appreciation. This assignment is relevant to me because I want to be the best version of myself. If I continue to do this for others maybe I’ll get it in return. Early in the semester I learned about self enhancement in this class and I believe it relates. I can use random acts of kindness to give my personality an enhancement.
Personal takeaway: I chose this quote as a personal takeaway because I believe the smallest acts of kindness can change someone’s day.
ATA 4:
After completing assignment number four, I learned a lot more about my relationship and love. Before writing this paper I was not really aware of the sub categories of different types of love. After writing this paper I gained more knowledge on the normal scores of each type of love for my gender and how I relate to those scores. My scores are true to myself and my relationship. Another thing that I learned from this assignment that shocked me the most was how high the normal score for playing the game of love was. I do not understand how people play the game of love and do not give everything they have into a relationship. This assignment is relevant to me because comparing my relationship to other female types of love is something I do not partake in. An example of this would be seeing pictures on Instagram of the perfect couple, an me not comparing my relationship to it. Recently, I have learned about emotional intelligence in this class and I believe it correlates. I can control my emotions in my relationship and I can also display my emotions as well.
Personal takeaway: I chose this picture as my personal takeaway because this was a big topic that stuck out to me that I believe everyone should listen to.
ATA 2:
After completing assignment number two, I learned a lot more about myself as a person. Before writing this paper I had an idea on all of my beliefs on who I am as a person. After writing this paper I gained more knowledge on how I present myself as a person. I learned about self presentation the most from this assignment. This self presentation concept that I learned when writing this paper relates to my early childhood. My parents guided me to present myself in accordance of representing my family well. This assignment is relevant to me because my belief on the self is nothing but positive. I want to represent who I am as a person in the best, most professional way and this assignment helped me understand that more.
Self Presentation: I chose this image as a personal takeaway to demonstrate who I am as a person. The thought is to always present myself in a positive manner.
ATA 1:
After completing assignment number one, I learned a great amount of information from it. Before writing this paper, I did not know what heuristics were and how people use them in everyday scenarios. The representativeness heuristic that I learned about from this assignment relates to stereotypes in the real world. Many people judge based on looks and could wrongly accuse someone of something they have not done. This assignment is relevant to me because the availability heuristic is used a bunch in my brain. I always think of the worst scenario in most cases. For an example, I have confused a crumb for a gross spider.
