An area that stands out to me and is an area I would like to focus my career on is in security control assessment. Security control assessment is essential for protecting an organization’s information systems and data. The work directly contributes to safeguarding against cyber threats, breaches, and other security risks, which is crucial in today’s digital world. This type of work is similar to that of a civil hacker wich is another area I have interest in. The areas that appeal to me the least are systems authorization. Systems authorization to me seems to put a lot of weight on the person doing the job. If something were to go wrong all the blame would be on systems authorization.
