SMD score: 2

I believe the items on the scale are generally relevant to the more recent generations (gen z.) in the sense that majority of people from the generations that are growing with technology have come to find themselves deeply reliant on them. People who are reliant on new technology and social media in a sense have a form of addiction to the internet and struggle to discipline themselves when it comes to being a user on vasts and open networks. I believe that different patters are found across the world especially from country to country because in regions where internet access is limited (Africa/3rd world countries), social media usage is often lower, while in highly connected countries (America/2nd and 1st world countries), it’s easier for social media to become a central part of life.
