November 19, LEAP Course

In this week’s LEAP Course session, we reviewed workplace protocol and maintaining a healthy work culture. We discussed what to do in certain scenarios where one might find themselves conflicted about reporting certain behaviors in the workplace that might reflect poorly on the company or go against protocol, whether it be by a co-worker or employer. We discussed that if another co-worker is behaving in a manner that would poorly reflect on the company, one should try to inform the co-worker about how to properly conduct themselves in the work environment and report it to the supervisor/employer if necessary. We also discussed that if a supervisor/employer is behaving poorly in the workplace that we may hesitate to say something in fear of losing our employment, we discussed the different avenues that we could take in order to remedy the situation, such as going to someone in a higher position than the individual in question.
