The evolution of cybercrime has not occurred in a vacuum. Other disciplines, particularly those in the stem area,have also responded to the technology changes with new courses, new avenues of research, and new careers. Better connection between criminal justice and cybersecurity would be addressed.  Less than one-fifth of criminal justice programs include cybercrime coursework in their curricula and about the same proportion of cybersecurity programs include criminal justice course work in their curricula. Those criminal justice programs that have developed cybercrime coursework are in a position to help address the growing demand of cybersecurity professionals. I feel as if criminal justice overlaps cybercrime in a number of ways like for one if you’re in criminal justice you may have a number of skills to work with cyber crime. You have a criminal investigator where they take the time and investigate different cyber crimes. Having a big team that are all good at finding a problem coming together and putting down a solution and solving that is much better than One person or one organization. Digital forensics is a new type of criminal investigation that refers to investigation of cyber and computers. Many criminal justice professionals have a good development of digital forensics. Criminal justice is also useful to identify appropriate interventions. Because it is an area of study grounded in the law, criminal justice offers a framework for developing, researching, and Interpreting cyber law. Someways cyber activities are regulated by criminal law including, hacking laws regulate against the unauthorized access of a computer. Various jurisdictions have developed different laws to govern these behaviors. A full understanding of the procedural law (the body of law that dictates among other things how professionals are able to gather and use evidence) is needed for those who respond to cyber crime. Digital crime scenes present challenges that are best understood through criminal justice.
