How do engineers make cyber networks safer?

I feel like engineers make cyber networks safer by developing network defense skills and security policies. With engineers constantly updating the software or data in a cyber network it makes it hard for a hacker to try and gain information. Also can target a number of threats trying to happen. It makes it safer for companies to trust that their data and software are in safe hands with the engineers. The engineers are everything when it comes to it; they know how everything works there. Without them it would be hard for cyber networks to operate because there would be problems everyday that many people would run into. Engineers are constantly trying to improve the things that are weak and are easy to be attacked. Basically saying that everything is in the engineer’s hands and they know all the ends and out of the networks. With their smart skills they can solve an issue fast. By knowing all the problems the engineers can track all that and know what has to be improved and what is good. Through testing they can find vulnerabilities and make sure the network is running the correct way. If they weren’t the best at what they do it would be kind of crazy. Networks would be messed up, it would be so easy for hackers to get to what they wanted. They are the boss. I feel like they are what get the game up and running and won’t let it stop. They are what put money in some of these employees’ pockets because without them things would be so unsafe and networks would be down for a long time.  Engineers not only make it safe for cyber networks, it is millions of fields where companies look at the engineers as the man with the plan.
