Assignment Takeaway for Assignment 1

Personally, I think that writing Assignment 1 was very abstract and unique to me. I have always found people fascinating because everyone has their own story to tell.  People are diverse through culture, food, religion and personalities. I think this is what I liked about Assignment 1 because I was given an opportunity to share my story and experiences. I had time to reflect on my experiences, learnings and teachings. I’m still learning and growing as an individual. A the time working that I was working at Altar d State, I was able to learn about myself and others.  The retail experience allowed for me to learn that everyone goes through something and that you are not alone. That’s why it is so important for people to be kind and treat everyone with respect. Everyone deserves to seek and have happiness, and that was one valuable lesson and takeaway that I gained when I worked at Altar d State. From elders to children, everyone should seek out help because their are those who care. And for me to be able to be that provider to others in a diverse community, was a breath taking experience.  Not only was the experience amazing, but the store itself is a vision ! It is so exciting to see such a wonderful place that is so inviting and places a smile on your face.

Below is a picture of an Altar d State store. What I love most about this picture is that it captures the beauty, essence of a Christian based store. The stores entrances are always inviting and welcoming, which is something that everyone needs to feel on there lowest and happiest days.
