Khadijah’s Poetry Book

What kind of student am I? Every student poses this question of figuring out who they are and who they want to be. As a student, I always put these five things in perspective: 1. I am amazing 2. I can do anything 3. Positivity is a choice. 4. I celebrate my individuality. 5. I am prepared to succeed. I try to incorporate things within my student life. I think it’s very important to understand as a student who you are, and attending college helps you do that as well. I feel that as a student I am very proactive in getting my work done. This includes turning in assignments on time, studying and taking notes, and asking clarifying questions if need be. I see my self as a student who has a high level of self efficacy because I take pride in my work and have much confidence in meeting my personal goals. The results from the General Self Efficacy was that my mean was score 29. As a student, when I evaluate this score, I do see that I am very resourceful and I think outside of the box. Most of these questions were asking students their willingness to discover new ideas or how to come out of a difficult situation. One factor that can increase my confidence level would be to accept affirmation. I think it is important to remind myself that I can do and complete anything with the right mindset. The reason why I selected the image above, ” Things I Can Control” is because I use these words and ideas to help manifest who I am and what student I want to be because I want push harder and be stronger. This image came from my poem book, because I love to write poetry on my spare time.
