I tell them that it is not and sometimes, if I am in a silly mood I will say, “I am taking Spanish because I am an overachiever!” Well, I certainly don’t feel like an overachiever in this class. I sometimes feel like a child just learning to talk and that a toddler’s vocabulary is more extensive than mine. I was very excited for the opportunity to take Spanish this semester and have enjoyed learning the language. I know I have much learning to do to be able to speak at the level I would like to.

My name is Karen Hancock.
