For my second top artifact, I went back to module 9 for the archive called SWF Seeking and I chose this for my article because I knew that it was very intriguing for me to read. The article is basically speaking about how there are numerous advertisements for older men who are interested in looking for younger women to fulfill sexual needs and want a genuine attraction. Younger women would be interested for multiple reasons, but mainly to be financially stable and even desperate need for money. I have heard of these situations to be called “sugar babies” or “sugar daddies” where sometimes girls only look to older men for relationships that they did not have when growing up and allow them to take care of them despite the age gap that is presented. When looking at the website attached for this archive, I was surprised to see as many men who were looking for women and how they sounded. The descriptions that the men left ranged from positive to negative and from a real relationships to one night stands. There are men who leave descriptions of what they are Iooking for like a Christian women, life long relationships, and even just someone to talk to. I feel that this archive just made me more aware of how people will present themselves on dating sites and how even though their description they wrote about themselves can be very deceiving because you never know if you are getting that actual person. The picture below is just a general examples of how ideal that dating ads can be for women and men and how the better it looks the more likely it would be that you would find a match.
