Learning Style

1) For most of my classes I keep the same study habits because I have come to learn what works best for me. In Literature and Sociology I like to write my notes during class, not the notes that the professors typically display on the board, but the discussion notes, things that are mentioned and discussed throughout class and mark where in the notes they occured, then later following the class I willl sit down and then write the given notes adding in notes I feel were important to remember from the class discusssion. Studying in these classes also includes flashcards and just rereading over the main concepts of the material.

However for my chemistry class, and lab which is my more difficult of classes, I chose to write my notes down and look over the material prior to attending that class. For studying, I feel practice makes perfect I do many problems regarding the material that I find online and watch videos about the concepts I have a hard time undertanding.

2) Personally I have no issue, or I do not feel like I am not doing well in any of my classes, I keep up with my work and my grades are pretty close together, however I do feel chemistry is my most challenging class as it is alot of formulas and memorization. For this class I am doing the best in and I go over the material following each class allowing me to reflect on what I have learned and practice it more after the classs ensuring my understanding.

3) Sociology may be my most challeging class as there are just so many aspects you need to memorize, personally I am better at equations and taking one material to another ratehr than just straight memorization. I plan to use flashcards to repeatedly engrain the information in my mind, I plan to do this for about an hour each day, and spend most of my time going over the main topics of discussion. Montioring, I am being sytematic in all of my studying for this class, including time and place for the most part, as far as taking advantage of all of my resources I do feel like there are more resources at my disposal however, personally I havent felt the need or extent to reach out to the professor during office hours. I am not struggling with motivation to study, I truly want to learn and understand the material. My confusions that I have clarified are on how much of each material apect we are responsible for memorizing and how it will be applied for a test. I do not have any more confusions in this class. Evaluating, I have not taken an exam I am actually preparing for that exam now and it seems to be going well, my process of writing out the study guide and highlighting all of the material I am not fully confident on works well for me.

4) One technique I could try in class would be the listening skills of searching for the main idea rather than just the fluff material being presented.

5)One of the techniques that I could try would be the writing reasources note taking extent to be able to help me prioritizing my notes and what material I should mainly focus on to make my notes more efficient to the material.
