Review Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs and explain how each level relates to your experiences with technology. Give specific examples of how your digital experiences relate to each level of need.

Maslow’s hierarchy of needs suggests that all humans have five different levels of needs that fall under three categories: basic, psychological, and self-fulfillment. Each of these five levels can be related to technological experiences. A piece of technology that I could relate to each level would be my cell phone. For example, my cell phone could satisfy my physiological needs because it can be used to control the thermostat at my house. Next, I can use my cell phone as a safety measure to call the police in dangerous situations. Additionally, my cell phone is the main form of communication I use when I am away from friends or family, so in that manner it fulfills my belongingness and love needs. Furthermore, my esteem needs are met via my phone because I can use employment apps to find and apply to various occupations. Finally, I can entertain my self-actualization needs by researching and promoting some creative hobbies of mine online.
