Review the NICE Workforce Framework. Are there certain areas that you would want to focus your career on? Explain which areas would appeal the most to you and which would appeal the least.
After reviewing the NICE Workforce Framework components, I’ve concluded that there are two fields that I would mainly like to focus my career towards: Implementation and Operation (IO) and Protection and Defense (PD). Firstly, the IO department interested me because of the types of jobs listed. For example, database administration and systems administration are both job opportunities I’d be fascinated to learn more about; from what I can tell it seems like for both of these positions I would be administering a database or server and using my resources and skills to maintain and further build upon these systems. Furthermore, the PD department caught my attention because of how important it seems in today’s digital world. When I think of cybersecurity, one of the first things that comes to mind is the protection of data. Therefore, this area of cybersecurity seems critical for any business that stores data online in order for them to be assured their digital information and systems are safe from any cyber threats.
