Final Reflection- Kennedy Jones
- Transition to College
I expected college to be a fun, new learning experience with more freedom and lots of work. Something I wish I knew 14 weeks ago was the amount of work assigned by each professor at a time. A resource I found extremely helpful was the library study rooms, I would always go there to do lengthy assignments or if I needed a quiet place to study. I cannot think of a resource that I found to be unhelpful. Something I have learned that I feel will help me next semester is how to pace my assignments and prioritize
- Study Habits
I usually study about 4.5 hours per week for each class which I found to be beneficial. I now take more time making review guides or flashcards. Usually rewriting notes, helps me study for each class or taking practice quizzes and problems assigned by the instructor. I also always try to review class lectures and the material taught,
- Health Professions Learning Community
I noticed that the classes correlated about halfway through the semester when we would be talking about similar topics in history and sociology. For example, we went over racism in both courses around the same time. I enjoyed the Health Professions Learning Community because I felt that it was easier to keep up with my assignments along with having the same classmates. The most beneficial health chat to me was the Nuclear Medicine Technology because I learned a bunch of helpful information and it was very interesting.
