The four other majors at ODU that I think relate to cybersecurity are Cybercrime, Cyber Operations, Database Administration, and Web Programming. I think the biggest one relating to cybertechnology would be cybercrime, I also find this major to be the most interesting as I am making it my minor. There are many reasons why I think Cybercrime heavily relates to Cybersecurity. One of those reason is because cybercrime entails things such as hacking and stealing information from the government and big corporations. Cybersecurity is helpful here because if you have a strong security base within your information systems then it will be more difficult for hackers and other cyber criminals to steal wanted and important information. The next major that relates to cybersecurity majors is cyber operations. this one is an obvious relation because cybersecurity is a cyberoperation and it is a complementary discipline to cybersecurity. Cyber operations is also a more hands on and theory based version of a cybersecurity and/ or cybertechnology course. The third major I believe relates to cybersecurity is database administration. I think this one relates because cybersecurity is based off of multiple different databases. I think that in order for you to understand cybersecurity then you must be able to understand and operate a database which you will learn through a database administration course. Lastly, I believe that web programming would easily relate to cybersecurity. This is because it is critical to understand web programming and development in order to understand and work in cybersecurity. You must be able to develop a system or program to setup a strong and useful security network to protect against hackers and criminals in the cybertechnology world. Overall I think cybersecurity relates to a lot of different majors that are offered at ODU and is a very useful course to take.
