Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs connects to my digital experiences in various ways. The bottom tier is physiological needs, it provides access essential services like food and health. DoorDash and Uber Eats are useful when no time to cook. Fitness apps provide improvements in health by monitoring levels and goals. Safety needs is the next tier that are met through cybersecurity measures. The use of VPN and two-factor authentication give protection of personal data. The third tier of belongingness and love needs allows people to stay connected with family and friends. Instagram, FaceBook, and online gaming helps maintain or forge new relationships through communication. Esteem needs is technology that boost my confidence through achievements. A Linkedin endorsement or positive feedback on blogs post will increase self-esteem. Completing online courses and earning digital badges feeds my hunger of accomplishment. The top tier is self-actualization needs, which is the technology I used for personal growth and learning. YouTube provides content used for education or develop a skill. Photoshop and video editing allow me to be artistically expressive.
