I received a score of 0 “yes” on the Social Media Disorder scale, indicating that I do not exhibit signs of social media addition based in the criteria used in the assessment.

2. What do you think about the items on the scale?

The items in the scaled seem to be well-designed to assess problematic social media use. They focus on behavior such as loss of control, interference with daily life, and withdrawal symptoms. While I do not personally relate to these behaviors, I can see how they apply to ones that struggle with excessive social media use. The scale effectively highlights the psychological and behavioral patterns associated with dependency on digital platforms.

3.Why do you think that different patterns are found across the world? Different patterns of social media use and disorder can be attributed to several factors, including cultural, attitudes toward technology, access to digital devices, and societal expectations. In some countries, social media plays a central role in communication and professional, networking, leading to higher engagement. Meanwhile, in other regions, stricter regulations. digital literacy programs, or alternative forms of entertainment may contribute ti lower social media dependency. Additionally, socioeconomic factors, age demographics, and even mental health awareness influences how individuals interact with social media on a global scale.
